ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS & INFORMATION

The college supports an open-door admission policy which provides opportunities for (1) high school graduates, (2) persons who have passed the GED, (3) individuals 18 years of age or older, and (4) individuals who qualify for dual enrollment, to apply for admission.

FINANCIAL AID INFORMATION

The purpose of PCC's financial aid program is to assist, within the bounds of its own limitations, students who have financial needs in bridging the gap between the cost of education and their ability to pay. The college offers assistance whenever possible in the form of scholarships, grants, and part-time employment to help students with their educational expenses. These awards may be offered singly or in a variety of combinations. In order for a financial need analysis to be completed, certain personal financial disclosures are required of students. Determination of financial need will be made based upon the financial information submitted by students, which shall be kept confidential.

HOUSING & FACILITIES

The college provides on-campus housing for one hundred and sixteen students.  The three residence halls are two-story concrete buildings with a centralized T.V. lounge, recreational facility, a laundry room and paid telephone services.

STUDENT LIFE

This unit is responsible for the coordination of student housing programs, student health services, the development and implementation of co-curricular programs and recreational activities for students and counseling and guidance services.

COUNSELING

Advising and Counseling are other components of Student Services. Counseling service are available to all students by either appointment or on a walk-in basis.

LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER

Services provided include Tutoring: Study Lab: Computer Lab: English and Math Pilot Instruction (Individualized or small group instruction): PCC Placement Tests: Institutional and Practice TOEFL and  COMPASS Tests (Ability to Benefit Test).

REGISTRAR'S OFFICE

This office handles registration, student records, evaluation of transfer credits and retention.

STUDENT RECORDS

Student academic records are maintained in the Registrar's Office. Students may request in writing, that the Registrar send a transcript of their Palau Community College courses and grades to a third party; the student must pay the transcript and settle any financial obligations to the College before the transcript can be released. The College does not release or reproduce another institution's transcript or other documents that may be in the student file without the permission of the Registrar.
