Succeeding in College- Part 1 Just as in elementary school through high school, your success in college
requires high motivation and effort, strong study skills, effective time management, and
good test-taking strategies. These areas are covered in other screens here at
www.how-to-study.com. But college success requires much more. Once you move from high
school to college, you will generally find that students are more motivated and
competent than in high school; teachers are more demanding; the work is more difficult;
and students are expected to be independent. Further, if you are living away from home
for the first time, you will have many new experiences. Here are some ideas that will
help you succeed in college: |

More Creative Writing -Part IV Below is another writing by a student in Midori Mersai's English summer class who also submitted a paper for the in-class creative writing contest. Look for additional installments in next week's Mesekiu's News. By: Juni Nimoto It was a silent night with the moon shining so bright and clear. My girlfriend and I were dating under a huge beautiful tree with different colorful flowers hanging down from side to side of the tree. She was lying on my chest and telling me about her life before we met. She mentioned about all her boyfriends since she was 18 and it was kind of sad for me because she always cheated on them. But the romantic thing is, she told me that since we met about two months ago, she never cheated on me. After she said that, she turned her head to me and started kissing me. Then she told me that "no matter who will come and try to separate us, I'm telling you that I will never give up loving you." I felt so special that night. My feeling was totally changed, I felt so comfortable. I felt like I was sitting on the moon and watching the shooting stars flow around me. I felt something miraculous which I never felt before.
