PCC maintenance staff took the group to the rock islands were they were able to spend several days enjoying the splendor of the rock islands.

PCC Security Guard Awarded "Against All Odds"

Even in his 50's, Mr. Petrus Itelmong, a Security Guard Supervisor who has been working at PCC for the past 20 years, graduated from the 15th Police Academy last week. The 24 cadets went through rigorous physical training that included push-ups, running, sit-ups, judo, and swimming. Also, as part of the program, they had classroom lectures and helped the local police force in conducting check points and patrolling the roads. As a result, among 24 cadets, Itelmong was chosen to receive the "Against All Odds" award. Itelmong joined the academy primarily because PCC security guards are advised to join and graduate from the academy.

After a couple of weeks into the program, Itelmong had some difficulties but later found the program to be quite exciting and decided to continue to challenge himself and his fellow classmates and do his best. The program not only educated Itelmong in Palau's law enforcement, but also the value of teamwork.

Itelmong would like to take this opportunity and thank all the PCC staff for their support. Also, a special thanks to Vice President/ Minister Chin for the excellent program and especially to Chief Aguon and Officer Rimirch for their training.

Congratulations and we are very proud of you, from all of us at PCC!
